It is very exciting when you see your Google Adsense payment almost reaching its threshold. For Malaysian publishers, I bet you will start thinking of how do you want to receive the payments. In my case, I am going to elaborate the process of how to receive Google Adsense payment through Maybank or the Malayan Banking Berhad.
Accepted Payment Methods
At the time of writing, Google provides two payment methods which are Bank Transfer and By Cheque. Previously, they also accepting Western Union which was just dropped out recently.
Google Adsense Payment Date
Referring to the screenshot above, I have reached my payment threshold in the month of September 2020.
On 21 October 2020, they made the payment transfer to my Maybank account.
As you can see the above screenshot, the payment cleared the next day (22 October 2020), which is pretty fast I would say. That is why I prefer bank transfer compared to receiving payments via Cheque.
Info needed on how to receive Google Adsense payment through Maybank
So, what are the information needed in order to receive Google Adsense payment through Maybank account, especially Malaysians? This may applies to other Malaysian Bank as well.
At the Payment page of your Google Adsense account, you will find a “Add Payment Method” and then choose Bank Transfer. To make it easier, do not bother the optional fields. Check out the information that I have entered below:
Name on Bank Account: Your full name that you used to register an account with Maybank
Bank Name: Malayan Banking Berhad
SWIFT BIC: MBBEMYKL
Account Number: Your Maybank Account Number
That’s all. Click “Save” and get ready to receive your Google Adsense Payment through Maybank account.
If you planned to use other Malaysia Banks such as CIMB, AmBank and so on, I believe the only thing you need to focus on is the SWIFT BIC code. Other information is pretty straight forward. You can use this website to know what is the swift code of the bank that you are going to choose to receive the payment.
